Marjorie Celeste (Meimann) Henderson, 99 of Story City, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Marjorie was born September 25, 1925, the daughter of George and Cecilia (Dunn) Meimann. She graduated from McCallsburg High School in 1943 and spent her life as a homemaker, raising a family. Marjorie was united in marriage to Melburn E. Henderson on June 1, 1950, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Zearing. They spent their life together on the farm outside of Story City.

Marjorie enjoyed flowers and gardening. She had a green thumb and loved living the farm life. Marjorie loved all animals from squirrels to birds. If it showed up on the farm, she would take care of it. Marjorie also loved the time spent with her family.

Marjorie is survived by her children Dallas (Donna) Henderson, Darrel (Linda) Henderson, Denise Nichols and Dawn (Craig) Peter; her daughter-in-law Shari Henderson; her sister Rita Rehak; her grandchildren Abbey Mitchell, Kirk (Megan) Nichols, Lincoln (Chelsea) Nichols, Levi (Emily) Nichols, Clint (Laura) Henderson, Kelly Henderson, Dylan Peter and Hanna Henderson; and her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Melburn (1983), her son David Alan Henderson (2019); her son-in-law Scott Nichols (2016); five brothers and four sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family graveside service will be at Mamrelund Cemetery in rural Story City.
