Marjorie J. Prescott, 87, of Nevada died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at Story County Medical Center in Nevada, Iowa. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. .Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date in the Slater Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mary Circle of the Nevada United Methodist Church. Marjorie Prescott was born December 25, 1915 at Maxwell, Iowa the daughter of Ralph and Pearl (Warren) Cooper. She was united in marriage to Dale Prescott May 21, 1938 in Nevada, Iowa. She went to Simpson College and then taught school in Colo and near Nevada. She and Dale moved to California in 1941. While in California, Marjorie worked as a real estate agent and also in retail sales. In 1986, Marjorie and Dale moved back to Nevada, Iowa. Marjorie was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church and Mary's Circle. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Dale of Nevada; a brother, Robert E. Cooper of Nevada; and a sister, Joan Lenning of Nevada, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stuart, in infancy; and a sister: Maxine Brooks preceded her in death. The Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is in charge of arrangements
