COLO - Martha "Marty" E. Meyerhoff, 75, of Colo, died May 10, 2004 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. She was born August 21, 1928 in Blackhawk County, Iowa the daughter of Thomas and Lois (Fressle) Magee. She was united in marriage to Robert Meyerhoff August 21, 1949 in Dunkerton, Iowa. After graduating from high school, Marty attended Iowa State Teachers College and taught several years in rural schools. She was an Avon representative and also worked at the Colo Library. She was a member of the Colo United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Colo; a son. Robert J. Meyerhoff of Maxwell; a daughter: Sandra Mossburg of Ames; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers: Gerald Magee, Thomas Magee, David Magee, Raleigh Magee, Jack Magee; and a sister: Lucille Stout. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at the Colo United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Colo Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorials may be made to the Israel Family Hospice House.
