Mary Ann Mittlestadt, 62 of Collins, died Friday, March 4, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Mary was born January 10, 1960, in Ames, Iowa. She was the daughter of Earnest Arnold Sr. and Lena Mae (Huber) Arnold. On February 4, 1978, she was united in marriage to Craig Mittlestadt in Ames. Mary is survived by her husband, Craig of Collins; her son, Frank Mittlestadt (Emalie Olson) of Ames; her daughters, Jessica (Shane) Nelson of Ellsworth, Ashley (Charles) Markunas of Nevada, Katrina Mittlestadt (Casey Morgan) of Des Moines; her sister, Wanda McMullin of Colo; her grandchildren, Araya, Nevaeh, Carter, Levi, Ian, Alexis, Charley, Anthony and Avrie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; Johnny Arnold and Earnest Jr., her sister, Helen McMullin. Mary has been cremated, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
