AMES - Michael Martin Riesselman, 51, of Ames, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Michael was born May 26, 1954 at Manning, Iowa, the son of Joseph H. and Catherine (Beyer) Riesselman, Jr. He graduated from Carroll Kuemper High School in 1972. Michael was united in marriage to Donita Williams on October 14, 1978 in Exira, Iowa. Michael was the Store Manager of Ryerson Implement Dealership in Nevada for the past 8 years. He was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada, a former member of the New Hampton Knights of Columbus and the New Hampton Jaycees. He enjoyed Iowa State football and basketball, motorcycling, and watching his children play sports. Michael is survived by his wife, Donita of Ames; his two children: Matthew and Catie, both at home; his father: Joseph H. Riesselman, Jr. of Carroll, Iowa; and 2 sisters: Jo Ann Riesselman of Carroll, Iowa and Marva Riesselman of Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers in infancy. Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. Burial will be at 2:30 pm at Exira Cemetery in Exira, Iowa. A Christian Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday followed by visitation with the family present until 9 pm at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorials may be made to Michael's children's college funds. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
