Obituary

Minnie Elizabth Kahler was born February 17, 1938, to Ernest and Ladye (McKeever) Kahler.

She graduated from Cambridge High School and retired from Dickson Industries in Des Moines, Iowa. She resided in Cambridge until her move to Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa in 2011 where she passed away September 30, 2022.

Minnie is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Anna Beal and Helen Elliott; her brothers: Raymond, Robert, Hamilton, Clifford, Walter and twins Elaine and Ernest in infancy.

She is survived by siblings: Kaye Mullins, Dorothy Gardner, Russell (Elaine) Kahler, and Judith (Richard) Menning, her sisters-in-law: Alice Kahler and Judy Kahler, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Minnie had a great love for her family, her Sunny View family and bingo. She had a laugh that would fill a room and a loud and proud "bingo" call when she won. It was never kept track of, but she went through dozens upon dozens of word search books. She always looked forward to going through the pictures of family through Facebook posts when Crystal would visit.

A special thank you to her Sunny View staff and Suncrest Hospice for their constant care of Minnie.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 15th at Cambridge Cemetery (310th Street & 580th Avenue, Cambridge, IA) at 10:30 a.m.
