Mondell V. Olson, 73 of Nevada, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids.

Mondell was born May 20, 1951, in Eldora, Iowa the son of Maynard Julien and Vivian Lucille (Johnson) Olson. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1971. Mondell was an avid fan of the Iowa State Cyclones and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mondell is survived by his son, Brian (Stefanie) Olson of Story City; his grandchildren, Chloe and Carter; and his sister, Marcia (Michael "Mich") Tendall of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Marly, Vail, Vincent and Maynard Jr. (in infancy) and his sister, Valerie Klein.

Mondell has been cremated and his cremated remains will be placed in the columbarium at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.
