Nathanial Ray Herrington, 52, of Des Moines passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Ray was born March 17, 1959, in Nevada, and married Tammy Lindsey on November 1, 2011. He had a fast paced lifestyle which most did not understand, but he enjoyed every minute. Ray loved tattooing, AC/DC, Superman and motorcycles. He can do it all now that he isn't sick. He left us for now, but he will live forever in our hearts. Ray is survived by his wife, Tammy Sue Herrington; his children, Casey Ray Lodestein, Michael Layton Baker Herrington, Amanda Storm Harrington; his father, John Herrington; the mothers of his children, Amanda Aldrich and Jane Lodestein; his step mother, Sue Herrington; his step-children, Zack, Chance, and Dillon; his sisters, Gina Sweeny and Lynn Rasmussen; his brother, John Herrington; his half sister, Amber Herrington; his dog, Black Velvet; and a host of other relatives and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Jane Dulaney; and his second wife, Sue Raymond. Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday evening also at the funeral home. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
