Nelma Irene McIntire, 91 of Nevada, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville. Memorial visitation will be 11-12 p.m. Friday, October 11 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Inurnment will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Nelma was born March 27, 1928, in rural Williamson, Iowa the daughter of Benny Orville and Anna Faye (Williams) Terrell. On December 21, 1946, she was united in marriage to Dean McIntire in Troy, Kansas. Nelma enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. Nelma is survived by her son, Gary (Liz) McIntire of Iowa City; her grandchildren: Emma, Will, Lydia, Tina and Kay; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Benny Terrell of Long View, WA; and her sister, Betty Houten of Long View, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Vicki Eyman; and her sister, Nadine Pegg. Memorial contributions may be made to Story County Medical Center.
