Norma Jean Ihle, 88 of Nevada, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in Nevada. Norma was born December 24, 1931, in Des Moines the daughter of Elmer and Alice Higdon. She graduated from Slater High School in 1952 and was united in marriage to Marion J. Ihle on June 26, 1953, in Slater. Norma spent many years at home raising a family before going to work for Donnelly's Marketing in Nevada and eventually retiring from the Nevada School District where she worked as a head baker in the high school. Norma was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada and spent many years wintering in Mission, Texas. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, sewing and drawing. Her family meant the world to her and she especially loved to spend time with them. Norma is survived by her children: Bob Ihle (Patti McCoy) of Nevada, Terry (Chris) Ihle of Brookings Harbor, OR, Dawn Jennings (Jerry Elson) of Spooner, WI, Jolene (Barry) Stouwie of Nevada and Marianne (Randy) Harrelson of Nevada; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her great-granddaughter, Nora Ihle; her grandson, Darren Stouwie; her son-in-law, Michael Oxley; two sisters; and three brothers. Norma has been cremated and a private family graveside service will be at a later date at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.
