Ona "Jean" Head-Collins, age 96, died Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Story Medical Senior Care in Nevada, Iowa.

Jean was born December 24, 1928, the daughter of Eden Walter Brandon and Faye Irene Long in Plano, Iowa. She married James Head on September 13, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1986. In 2001, she married Richard Collins, who preceded her in death in 2020.

Jean is survived by her three children, Gordon (Lorie) Head of Des Moines, Iowa, Greg (Linda) Head of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, and Marla (Larry) Eller of Nevada, Iowa. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Dean Brandon of Plano, Iowa: five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step grandchild, three step great grandchildren, three nieces and three nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her sister Carol Teed, and her grandson Derrick Head.

No services are planned, with interment at a later date in Confidence Cemetery, Confidence, Iowa.
