Oradell Skelton, 71 of Nevada, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at her home in Nevada.

Dell was born January 10, 1952, in Dyess, AR, the daughter of Clifford and Jewel (Cannon) Austin. She graduated from Dyess High School in 1970. Dell worked for various schools as an administrative assistant including the Nevada, South Clay, Saydel and Blytheville, AR school districts.

Dell enjoyed gardening, crafts and collecting Coke memorabilia. She loved all animals and spent time volunteering with the Story County Animal Shelter walking dogs. Dell especially loved to be a grandma to her grandkids. She will be remembered for having a big heart and a free-spirit.

Dell is survived by her children, Brian (Sally) Skelton of Ames and Kimberlee Skelton of Nevada; her grandchildren, Parker, Willow, Paige and Alaina; her brother, Gary (Sue) Austin of Keiser, AR; and her sister, Linda Sears of Buchanan, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Billy and Kenneth Austin; and her sisters, Barbara Ann and Shelby Sue.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Story County Animal Shelter in Nevada, IA in memory of Dell.

A visitation will be held 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church (610 15th Street Ames, Iowa).
