Patricia "Pat" (Sweeney) Cirksena, 80 of Nevada, died Monday, October 26, 2020, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Pat was born August 30, 1940, in Story City, the daughter of Arnold L. and Alice May (Thompson) Haugland. She graduated from Milford High School in 1958 and attended Waldorf. Pat was a past member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny and attended Family of Faith Church in Nevada. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading her bible and knitting. Pat is survived by her son, Jeff (Jonan) Sweeney of Boone; her daughter, Lisa (Tom) Heiny of Buffalo, MN; her sisters, Cynthia Williamson of Nevada and Kat (Dennis) Tichenor of Nevada; her grandchildren: Mackenzie Heiny, Jordan Graham, Hunter Sweeney, Jaedan Sweeney, Stefani Hodges, Shelbi Snowgren and Siarra Patten and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elizabeth Buck, and Margaret Tjaden. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.
