Patricia "Pat" Rose Mann, 73 of Ames, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at her home in Ames, Iowa.

Pat was born December 20, 1948, in Burlington, Wisconsin, the daughter of William C. and Rose Agnes (Honn) Baumeister. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1968 and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames. Pat was also involved in the Neighborhood Club, Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary, Keystone Community Activities and Women-a-Glow.

Pat enjoyed living in Ames and being a part of the community. She enjoyed summer concerts at the Bandshell Park on Thursdays. You would always find her at the downtown farmers market Saturday mornings. Pat was very proud of her children and loved them all. She loved to make care packages and send them to her son while he served in Iraq. Her proudest moment was becoming a grandmother to Ainsley. She loved spending time with her granddaughter and would have the biggest smile on her face whenever she was around her. She loved to tell Ainsley how strong she was! Pat had a kind soul and would always see the good in everyone she met. If she met you she would ask you when your birthday was and would never forget it. She had a love for dogs and needed to pet each dog she would see. She had a love for baking and cooking. She was known for her deviled eggs, scalloped potatoes/ham, and brownies. She loved cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Iowa State Cyclones. Pat will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her children, Carl (Kelsie) Fisher of Slater; Julie (Jonathan) Holscher of Huxley, and Stephanie (Brian) Starrett of Ames; her granddaughter, Ainsley Holscher and her grandson, her brothers, Paul (Estela) Baumeister of Kansasville, WI and Richard Baumeister of Burlington. WI; her sisters, Helen (Jerry) Wolter of Elkhorn, WI, Joan Rossmiller of Burlington, WI, Arlene (Jim) Mansky of Lake Geneva, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Donnie.

A visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church (2900 Hoover Avenue) in Ames. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, also at the church. Burial will follow at the Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames. A reception will follow the graveside back at the church.
