Paula Sue Flowers Daughter of Lois (Schaff) Flowers was born in Iowa City, Iowa on April 2nd 1966, and passed away in the home she shared with partner Kerry Fisher on January 22nd 2022 in Zearing, Iowa.
Paula grew up in Tama & Osceola Iowa and lived throughout the state during her life. She graduated high school early & attended classes at southwestern community college. Paula Had a kind heart and helped anyone she could, often opening her home to those in need without judgment. She believed in random acts of kindness, connected with people easily & found joy in brightening someone's day.
Paula's greatest love in life were her children and pets. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren who called her "nanna" she made up silly nicknames for all of them & would sing to them every time she had the chance. she was passionate about music & enjoyed attending events to support local artists.
Those who proceed Paula are her mother Lois Flowers, husband Richard Gardner, sister Laurie (Norton) Kunkel, Nephew Mickey Belieu, Uncles Dale "Bud", Richard "Dick" and Glen "Jiggy" Schaff. also her aunts Joy Hodges, Ilene Lindsey, Betty Simpson, & Eva Doran.
Paula leaves to cherish her memory, partner Kerry Fisher, Daughters Ashley Irvin, Alex (Rob) Flowers-Roark, and son Justice Weir. Her Grandchildren Janie, Jesse, Benjamin, Adilynn, Reetzi, Delilah & Josey-Nova. Sisters Ruby (Larry) Holmes, Peggy Edel, & Nancy Ellis & Brothers Roger Mcvey, Joseph Flowers & Doug Norton.
A Celebration of life will be held for Paula on February 26th at the Indianola Elks Lodge (110 W Ashland Ave Indianola, IA) From 2-8pm. A concert in memory of Paula will be held May 1st at the Threshold Learning Center from 12-8pm (13143 710th Ave, Zearing, IA)
