Pauline Thomas, was called home at the age of 86 on July 17, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Pauline was born on August 18, 1937, McCallsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Leonora Henderson. She attended school in McCallsburg and graduated from Roland High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Thomas on June 3,1956 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg. They raised two daughters Jodee Lynn and Karmen Kay.

Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and farmer's wife staying at home with the girls until they were older. When she made the decision to work outside the home she was employed at Patterson Supply Company, Principal Financial Group, and Maxwell State Bank.

Pauline was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church and active in the UNI Circle for many years. She loved all types of music and sang solos in high school. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed her flower garden, and had a small gift shop in her home for a few years. Her most favorite activities always included family. She was always at all her children's and grandchildren's activities as well as great grandchildren's activities. Pauline loved to watch Iowa State Basketball and became a big Caitlin Clark fan this past year never wanting to miss an opportunity to see her play.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dick; her two daughters, Jodee (Denny) Anderson, and Karmen Plunkett; five grandchildren Kayla Blount, Megan (Zach) Scott, Shawn (Alyssa) Plunkett, Ryan (Katie) Plunkett, Luke Plunkett; eleven great grandchildren Maddie, Junior, Andrew, Hadley, Eli, Atlas, Maren, Nora, Zayda, Nash, and Rhett; and one sister Lucille Lillard.

Preceding Pauline in death are her parents, her sisters Pearl Brekke, Alta Henderson, Norma Wirtz, Alice Pickering, and son-in-law Brad Plunkett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Pauline for their use to be determined at a later date.
