Phyllis A. Bergman, 95, of Nevada, formerly of Stratford, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 7 at Rasmusson Funeral Home in Nevada. A Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 8 at Hardin Township Cemetery southwest of Stratford. Phyllis was born June 2, 1923, the daughter of Richard and Louisa Pearson. She graduated from Okoboji High School and was united in marriage to Robert Cecil Bergman on November 27, 1955, at the Lutheran church in Milford Township. Phyllis worked 17 years for Bourne's and owned her own dress shop in Stratford until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and gardening. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Candis (Jody) Gardner of Maxwell; ten grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Gary (Sharon) Pearson; and her sister, Anita Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons: Danny Baysinger, Orville "Skip" Baysinger, Frank Baysinger and Rodney Bergman; her grandson, Steven Baysinger; her great-grandson, James Baysinger; and 8 siblings.
