Rae Jean Hansen Longnecker, 66, of Collins, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Rae Jean was born March 19, 1952, in Des Moines, the daughter of Bill Longnecker and Marilyn (Beal) Reynolds. She grew up with one sister in Cambridge and was a 1970 graduate of Ballard High School. Rae Jean was a member of the Maxwell Church of the Brethren. Rae Jean is survived by her daughter, Carrie Lynn Leadbetter and son-in-law, Phil Schultz; grandson, Lance Whitaker and granddaughter, Addison Schultz all of Bend, OR; her sister and brother-in-law, LuAnn and Russ (Longnecker) Wernli of Yukon, OK; her nephew, Shawn (Alissa) Wernli of Edmond, OK; her niece, John (Casey) Strange of Yukon, OK; and four great-nephews: Brayden, Cole, Colton and Clayton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Glenn Hansen. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Monday, August 27, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with graveside services to follow at Brethren Cemetery near Maxwell.
