Rebecca “Becky” Lou Johnson, age 76, of Colo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard.

Becky was born on December 10, 1949, in Ames, Iowa, to Irwin Peter and Ruth Elizabeth (Zook) Stoeffler. She attended Nevada High School and married Robert Allan Johnson on June 7, 1971, in Fremont, Nebraska.

Becky worked for Graphic Forms in Nevada, which later became Print Graphics. In her free time, she enjoyed trying her luck with a scratch-off lottery ticket, playing games online, or baking something to share. These simple pleasures brought her great joy. Time with her family meant the world to Becky, and she treasured every moment they shared. Her playful sense of humor, quick wit, and delightfully sassy responses brought laughter to those around her and will be fondly remembered.

Above all, Becky treasured her family. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Dennis (Rita) Stoeffler of Boone, Randy (Diane) Stoeffler of Colo, and Robert (Sasha) Johnson of Springfield, Oregon; her sister, Janan Sue (Max) Streeter of State Center; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her partner, Dave Shepherd; and her brothers, Ray, Gary, Jan, Kent and Brad Stoeffler. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home, 1418 Fawcett Parkway, Nevada. She will be laid to rest privately at Colo Cemetery in Colo.

In honor of Becky’s love of animals, memorials are suggested to the Story County Animal Shelter in her memory.
