ZEARING - Regina Catherine (Mrs. Harold) Rasmusson, 76, of Zearing, died Friday, May 28, 2004 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Regina was born April 24, 1928 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Frank B. and Amelia (Wirth) Ricke. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1946. Regina was united in marriage to Harold Rasmusson June 20, 1950 at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church at Gilbert, Iowa. She served as Vice-president of Rasmusson Construction Company where she also served as secretary and bookkeeper. Regina also worked as an advocate for the quality care given to the elderly. She was a member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Zearing, the Saint Gabriel Alter and Rosary Society, the B. F. and T. Club and the Friendly Circle. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, playing cards, traveling and camping. Regina loved and enjoyed her family. Regina is survived by her husband, Harold, of Zearing; three sons and their families: Steven and Ann Rasmusson and their children, Aimee, Courtney and Katie; David and Elizabeth Rasmusson and their children, Christopher, Jill, Ricke and Joseph; Larry and Angela Rasmusson and their children, Bryce, Justin and Logan; two daughters and their families: Karen and David Toot and their children, Austin and Nolan; and Diana and Kevin Bell and their children, Avery and Adam. Regina is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Hanah and Mia. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Clarence, Ed and Henry; and 5 sisters: Agnes, Irvina, Joan, Vera, and an infant sister. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada with Father Jon Seda officiating. Private burial will be in Colo Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Tuesday 5:00 - 8:00 pm. A Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 pm. The Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
