Ronnie Ray Scott, 72 of Nevada, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born July 11, 1947, in Waterloo to Sterling and Mary (Roberts) Scott. He graduated from Waterloo West High School and served in the United States Navy from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1968. On December 17, 1993, he was united in marriage to Roxanne Ihle in Nevada. Ron enjoyed puzzles, fishing and golfing. He especially loved spending time with his family and will be remembered as a quiet man that always had the answers. Ron is survived by his wife, Roxanne of Nevada; his sons: Brent (Kim) Scott of Virginia and Matt (Anna) Litchfield of Nevada; his daughters: Cara Cole of Oklahoma and Jenny (Landon) Earles of Nevada; his mother-in-law, Lou Ihle of Nevada; his nieces: Sara (Tim) Shill of Nevada and Ginger (Marc) Mills of Illinois; 14 grandchildren; and his cousins: Becky Rosson and Gerry Howard and Don Liscum all of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Connie Scott; and his brother, Sterling Scott. Ron has been cremated and a private family service was held at Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
