Obituary

Ronald Eugene Quillen Jr. 46 of Zearing, formerly of Nevada, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Ron was born April 27, 1974, in Boone the son of Ronald Eugene Sr. and Sharon K. (McDowell) Quillen. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1992 and was united in marriage to Valentina Rose Weaver on August 14, 1999. Ron was working for Burke Corp. for the last 26 years and enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a very devoted husband and dad. Ron is survived by his wife, Tina of Zearing; his children: Jennifer Stone, Serena Quillen, Jonathan Quillen and Joshua Quillen; his grandchildren: Jalen, Kayne and Kaliyah; his sister: Deanna (Donald) Brown and Lisa (Brian) Deal along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Allen. A visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada-masks are recommended and casual dress is requested. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada with Pastor David Burling officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Ron.
