Rozella Thomas, 87, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Rozella was born April 7, 1927, to Tom and Mollie (Wheeler) Ross in Carnsforth, Iowa.  On March 23, 1957, she was united in marriage to Marion Thomas; he passed away in 1972.  Rozella was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Rozella is survived by her sons, William "Billy" (Deborah) Thomas of Cambridge and Walter Thomas (fiancé Linda Furroughs) of Nevada; her grandchildren, Randy (Michelle) Thomas, Joni (Grant) Brown, Grant (Heather) Harris, Garrett Harris and fiancé Lindsey LaPage, William Thomas Jr. and Walker Thomas; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, with Pastor Tom Lee officiating, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Rozella.
