Ruth Helen
Moller
December 1, 1935 – September 12, 2024
Ruth Moller, 88 of Nevada, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.
Ruth was born in rural Corsica, South Dakota on December 1, 1935, the daughter of Gottleib and Anna (Titze) Gerlach. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1954 and attended Dakota Wesleyan College. Ruth was united in marriage to Gilbert Dale Moller on March 25, 1957, in Luverne, Minnesota. She had worked at Speckeen Construction and Heartland Technologies.
Ruth was very strong in her Christian faith and was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada and had attended Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. She enjoyed all sports and knew every sports statistics you could think of. Ruth loved taking walks, lots of walks. She loved drives, parks and ice cream!!! Ruth was selfless, quiet, loving and would do anything for anyone.
Ruth's passion was her family, she loved her kids and grandkids and would do anything to make them have fun and smile! It truly was her grandkids that brought out this enormous spirit, from a meek, beautiful lady. As, many of us have seen in the past years, she also had a fiesty and spunky side too..which will be missed.
Ruth is survived by her children David Moller of Westfield, Indiana, Alan Moller of Ames and Cynthia (Wayne) Schwickerath of Ames; 3 grandchildren Sarah (Andy) Eis, Rachel (Matt) Arens and Samantha (Luke) Chittenden; and 8 great-grandchildren Charlie and Lucy Eis, Willow and Leo Arens and Reggie, Raleigh, Roonie and Roxy Chittenden. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 brothers Harvey, Gerald and Norman Gerlach and 2 sisters Marlys Pemrick and Irene Blunt.
Ruth has been cremated and a private family graveside service will be at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada, Monday at 10:00. Of course, anyone is invited, as well.
In Ruth's honor, please consider being kind and loving to those around you.
Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.rasmussonfh.com.
