Sandra Jean Meyerhoff-Mossburg, 57, of Ogden, Iowa, formerly of Colo and Ames, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Accura Health Care Center in Ogden, Iowa.

Sandra was born March 26, 1966, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was adopted in infancy by Robert A. and Martha (Magee) Meyerhoff. Sandra graduated from Ames High School in 1985. Sandra was a very conscientious worker, having worked at Pizza Hut in Ames for over twenty-five years and at Long John Silvers. She enjoyed being a school crossing guard in Ames for several years having worked through many rainy, cold, snowy, and nice days. Sandra was active with the Optimae Resource Center in Ames and participated in the Special Olympics and was proud of the medals she received for her bowling scores. She loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, family reunions and gatherings, babies, animals, and eating at Burger King. She loved knitting afghans for auctions at family reunions. She attended reunions traveling to Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Missouri, Kansas, and Minnesota.

Sandra is survived by her brother Robert "Rob" (Paula) Meyerhoff of Kelly, Iowa; two nephews: Aric Meyerhoff, John Meyerhoff; three uncles: David Magee, Thomas (Rose) Magee, Gerald (Betty) Magee; three Aunts: Eleanor Meyerhoff, Greta Magee, Helene Magee; and numerous cousins.

Sandra was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, two uncles, and two aunts.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 26th. at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
