Selena Teshé White, 2 months old, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Selena was born November 20, 2017, in Ames, the daughter of Calvin and Melisa (Saldaña) White. She was a happy baby and enjoyed getting kisses from her big brother. Selena is survived by her parents, Calvin (Melisa) White of Nevada; her big brother, Armani White; her paternal grandma, Tonja Vernon of Des Moines, her maternal grandparents, Fernando (Lisa) Saldaña of Nevada; her paternal great-grandma, Johnnie White of Des Moines and her maternal great-grandparents: Jerry Smith of Nevada and Beverly Saldaña of Nevada; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandpa Ernest W. White and her paternal grandpa, Anthoney D. Vernon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 5 at Friendship Baptist Church (2400 Mortensen Rd) in Ames. Family will greet friends prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Melisa White in memory of Selena. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
