SFC Taylor Allan Bartleson, 35 of Stedman, North Carolina, formerly of Nevada, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia with his loving parents by his side.

Taylor was born on March 2, 1990, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Kendall Allan and Cynthia Marie (Olson) Bartleson. He graduated from Nevada High School in 2008, then enlisted in the United States Army, of which he was currently still serving. Taylor's military service was a source of great pride for him and his family. Over the years, his dedication led him to serve overseas in South Korea, Afghanistan, and Germany between 2010 and 2022. His commitment and courage earned him numerous promotions, rising from Private First Class in 2011 to Sergeant First Class in 2023. In his free time, Taylor enjoyed woodworking, photography and spending time at the beach. He was also an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Taylor is survived by his wife, Kayla Bartleson of Stedman; his daughters, Payton Bartleson (10) and Izabella Kelley (16); his parents, Kendall and Cindy Bartleson; his brother, Brandon (Kelli) Bartleson and their children, Jaylee and Reese; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Bartleson; and his maternal grandmother, Ellen Olson, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carly Bartleson and his maternal grandfather, Marlin "Whitey" Olson and two cousins.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.  His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at Memorial Lutheran Church (701 11th Street) in Nevada.  The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by going to the Tribute Wall on Taylors obituary page.  Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylor's family, and they will be distributed according to his wishes.
