Sheila Rae Eller, 70 of McCallsburg, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Sheila was born December 22, 1953, in Ames, Iowa the daughter of Robert Gerald and Goldie Ione (Miller) Eller. She attended Nevada High School and was united in marriage to James Patrick Eller on May 25, 1971, in Woolstock, Iowa. Sheila did factory work most of her life, retiring in 2015 from American Packaging in Story City where she operated a forklift.

Sheila enjoyed watching birds and tending to her flowers and garden. She had a big heart and often would help any cause she could. Shelia loved all animals especially her two Corgis, Watson and Archie. She also loved spending time with her family and the many Wednesday nights spent with her siblings.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Jim of McCallsburg; her children, Rachel (Vaughn) Phillips of McCallsburg, Jessica (Chad) Carriveau of McCallsburg and PJ (Alicia) Eller of Zearing; her grandchildren: Haleigh Archuleta-Eller, Andie Phillips, Cole (Alyisa) Engelhardt, Chelsea Henze, Moriah Eller, Coridon Eller and Skylar Ball; her great-grandchildren, Rory Engelhardt and Nolan Vest; her siblings: Jim (Cheryl) Eller of Ames, Larry (Marla) Eller of Nevada, Donnelle (Neal) Heldt of Mallard and Michelle (Steve) Bellile of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Carey Eller; and her sister-in-law, Roberta Eller.

A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. until noon on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Story County Animal Shelter in memory of Sheila.
