Shirley June Zwygart, 93 of Nevada, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Shirley was born October 19, 1927, in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of David Sheafer and Alma Cobb. She was united in marriage to Carl Zwygart in 1944 and was a homemaker. Shirley was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Nevada. Shirley enjoyed country living and tending to her flowers. She had a big heart and was known to take in and care for stray animals. Shirley especially loved children and her face would light up in their presence. Above all, she loved the Bible and she loved to share its message with others. Shirley is survived by her son, Larry (Jeanie) Zwygart of State Center; her daughter, Gail Ann (John) Hills of Platte City, MO; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Violet Newkirk of Cameron, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Alan Zwygart; three brothers; and two sisters. A memorial service will be held via Zoom at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
