Steven Michael Phelps, 69 of Nevada, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, August 7, 2020, at his home in Nevada. Steve was born November 17, 1950, in Sioux City, the son of Marvin and Laverne (Tetloff) Phelps. He was united in marriage to Sandra Kay DeYoung on September 30, 1995 and worked 32 years for Tyson. Steve enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing darts and pool. Steve is survived by his wife, Sandra of Nevada; his daughter, Lisa (Krikor) Dayirmenjian of Wildomar, CA; his sister, Norma Daily of Dakota City, NE; his grandson, Kyle Dayirmenjiam; and a niece, Johnette Moninger. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother; and two sisters, Judy and Carol. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
