Susan Elizabeth Cummings, 70 of Altoona, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Sue was born January 31, 1951, in Nevada, Iowa the daughter of Paul Henry Bloomfield and Ann Zoelle Brandberg. She graduated from Sunny Slope High School in 1969 and later that year, she was united in marriage to Charles Arthur Cummings on June 28 in Phoenix, AZ. Sue enjoyed playing Bingo and word searches. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Sue is survived by her husband, Charles of Altoona; her daughters: Kimberly (Mark) Leonard of Maxwell, Jenny (Leland) Mitchell of Bondurant and Krista (Darrin) Williams of Maxwell; seven grandchildren: Zachery, Hayley, Devin, Katelynn, Logan, Taylor and Dylan; five great-grandchildren: Mayla, Mariah, Rylee, Baylor, Hayden (and Kash on the way); and her brother, Kenneth (Sabrina) Bloomfield of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Paula Olson. A visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.
