Terry Dean Hermann, 69 of Slater, died Monday, August 17, 2020. Terry was born May 25, 1951, in Boone the son of Kenneth and Anselma "Bunny" (McCoy) Hermann. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1969 then enlisted in the United States Navy. On September 8, 1973, he was united in marriage to Gayle Jean Barr in Madrid. Terry enjoyed camping and took pride in his restored 1963 Chevy Impala convertible. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Terry is survived by his wife, Gayle of Slater; his sons, Trent Hermann of Monterey, LA and Ryan Hermann of Huxley; his daughter, Jodi (Joe) Steffes of Nevada; his grandchildren: Chantalle (Jason) Noelck, Caden Hermann, Chance Steffes, Kennedy Steffes, Gillian Hermann, Rylee Steffes, Hunter Hermann, Libby Hermann and Parker Hermann; his great-grandchildren, Carter and Holden Noelck; his brothers, Kenny (Connie) Hermann of Huxley and Gene (Vicky) Hermann of Huxley; his sister, Randa (Doyle) Drake of Madrid; his sisters-in-law: Kim (Mike) Kiesey, Nancy Barr and Kirsten Jones; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Teddy, Sammy, Sadie and Bella. Terry is preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Randy Check; his nephew, Aaron Check; his father-in-law, Dale Barr and his mother-in-law, Jackie Barr. A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 21 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
