Thomas Joel Francisco, 78 of Des Moines, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his home.

Tom was born February 27, 1946, in Janesville, WI, the son of Clive Francisco and Mabel Mull. Following high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a medical specialist from 1966 until 1969. Tom earned several awards and medals including a Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Badge with rifle bar, and a Marksman Badge with rifle bar.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his daughter at heart, Tambi Rosendahl and her five daughters, Justis Lee Burgin, Alexus J. Verel, Adora Mabel Rosendahl, Blessing D. Rosendahl and Mila Mauseth.

The family would love to hold a memorial service, but Tom specifically requested no services take place.
