Thomas Jon Neel, 81, of Maxwell, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Tom was born May 17, 1937, in Gilmore City, Iowa, the son of Wilmer Estelle and Agnes (Zatloukal) Neel. He graduated from Gilmore City High School in 1956 and owned the lumber yard in Gilmore City until 1995. Tom enjoyed watching cowboy movies and collecting coins. Tom is survived by his sister, Nina Gower of Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom donated his body to the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
