Timothy Don Barker, 63 of Cambridge, died Friday, February 10, 2023, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Tim was born November 3, 1959, in Nevada, IA the son of Kenneth Dean "KD" and Betty Elaine (Rupe) Barker. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1978 and was united in marriage to Victoria Jo Davis on September 17, 1983, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. Tim started out at a young age working on cars and that led to a 30-year career with Freedom Tire in Ames.

Tim enjoyed bowling and riding his motorcycle. He loved to spend time outside hunting, fishing or working in the yard. Tim could often be found taking a drive on his side-by-side with his beloved dog, Sister.

Tim is survived by his wife, Victoria of Cambridge; his daughters, Sydney Barker (John Mueggenberg) of Ames and Ryanne Barker of Iowa City; his mother, Elaine Barker of Nevada; his sisters, Cathi Barker of Nevada and Kelly Barker of Florida; and his dog, Sister. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Barker.

A celebration of Tim's life will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada.
