Vieve Cora Mohr, 81, of Nevada, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Vieve was born April 27, 1938, in Marshalltown the daughter of Clyde Everett and Orona Cone (Hammond) Galloway. She graduated from LaMoille High School in 1955 and was united in marriage to Sonny Mohr on December 24, 1998, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada. Vieve worked as a school bus driver for the Nevada School District, retiring in 2000 and farmed outside of Nevada. Vieve was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada and the Maxwell Women's Club. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and helping on the farm. Vieve is survived by her husband, Sonny of Nevada; her children: Kindra (Barry) Jones of Nevada, Kraig Davis of Phoenix, AZ, Kyla Davis of Ankeny and Keith (Denise) Davis of Nevada; her sister, Doris Rutherford of Nevada; her brothers: Phil (Darlene) Galloway of Marshalltown and Rex (Mae) Galloway of Mayview, MO; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Julia Bachel. Per Vieve's wishes, she has been cremated and no service will be held.
