CAMBRIDGE- Vivian Marlene Sesker, 74, of Cambridge, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Vivian was born December 10, 19132 at Cambridge, Iowa the daughter of Kahl John and Georgia (Sutton) Sesker. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1950 and worked for General Telephone and Verizon for 43 years. Vivian moved back to Cambridge from Grinnell in the mid 1990s to care for her mother. Vivian was a member of the Cambridge United Methodist Church, the UMW, the Dorcas Society, the Soroptimist Club of Grinnell, the Cambridge Historical Society, and was a Master Gardener. She loved nature and birds, and enjoyed working with her flowers.
Vivian is survived by a brother: Larry (Linda) Sesker of Des Moines, IA; 3 sisters: Dorothy Berhow of Kansas City, MO, Nancy (Curtis) Schwab of Kansas City, MO, Linda Sinclair of Ankeny, IA; and 8 nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded Vivian in death.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Cambridge United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Cambridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 - 8:30 PM Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
