Willien W. Norton was born October 22, 1910, to Willis and Etta Evans and died May 30, 2011, at the age of 100. She grew up in Farrar and Maxwell communities graduating from Farrar High School in 1929. She was a member of the Maxwell Presbyterian Church, P.W. C. and Alpha Delphin Club. She loved gardening. She married John Norton on February 8, 1935. They farmed in the Farrar and Maxwell communities. To this union four sons were born, Donald, George and infant twins, Jerald and Gerald who died shortly after their birth. Preceding her in death were her husband, four sons, her parents, one brother, and seven sisters. She leaves to mourn one brother, David Evans of Bend, Oregon; two sisters, Miriam Pearce of Houston, Texas and Pauline Cuff of Maxwell, Iowa. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with Reverend Ian McMullin officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow in the Peoria Cemetery in rural Maxwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maxwell Presbyterian Church.
