Winnifred "Winnie" Lucille Lounsberry, 91 of Zearing, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the Zearing Healthcare Center in Zearing. A private family graveside service will be held at Colo Cemetery in Colo. Winnie was born July 19, 1928, in Des Moines the daughter of Wilfred J. and Audrie Lucille (Markley) Barrett. She graduated from Colo High School and was united in marriage to Max A. Lounsberry on October 21, 1951 in Colo. For more than 30 years, Max and Winnie owned Lounsberry Grocery in Zearing. Winnie was an active member of the Zearing Christian Church and in her spare time enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially the NFL. Winnie is survived by her son, Tom (Denise) Lounsberry of Glen Rose, TX; her daughter-in-law, Lori Jo Lounsberry of Story City; her grandchildren: Nick (Lilly) Lounsberry, Andy Lounsberry, Brian Lounsberry, Kevin Lounsberry (fiancé Katie Nunemaker) and Lynn Lounsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, John Lounsberry; her sisters: Jane Bell, June LeClair and Carol Ann Coulter; and her brother, Will Barrett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zearing Christian Church in memory of Winnie. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
